KIDS' CHRISTMAS 2007

On December 19th, ladies from Caney Baptist Church escorted 9 needy children to nearby Hindman for a special meal at Dairy Queen and a mini shopping spree for toys at the local Dollar General Store before returning to the Church to receive their large Christmas gift bags made possible by some very generous donors.  Click individual pictures for larger view, then click BACK to return to this page.

Generous donors provided Christmas gifts for needy children.

Packages included coats, boots/shoes, underwear, socks, jeans, shirts, treat bags.

Nine children received Christmas gift bags.

Terry was excited as he rode the van to the shopping center.

Austin and Christy were anxious to reach Dairy Queen.

Cheyenne, Mary and Leslie were patient travelers.

Selena looked forward to shopping for a special toy.

The kids patiently waited their turn to order a Dairy Queen meal.

Back at Church, the gift bags were given out.

Austin lugged his large gift bag back to his seat where he could take a peek inside.

Selena anxiously waited for her name to be called.

Cheyenne was pleased with her suede boots.

Jacob gave thanks for his special Christmas gifts.

Jerry donned his new hoodie, while Terry proudly displayed his new shoes.

Selena didn't know what she liked best, but the boots were nice!
